Job Description:
 
The client Diagnostic Group provides support and maintains the “wiTECH 1.0, 2.0, CDA, & mCDA” diagnostic tools.  Those tools are used diagnose vehicles both in manufacturing plants, as well as globally by the FCA dealerships.   The tools provide data that assists in vehicle diagnostics, and reduces the amount of diagnostic time required to resolve issues.  The group also responds to field service issues when necessary. 
 
Responsibility as a Diagnostic Specialist:
 

• JIRA issue tracking.  Responsible for identifying issues received from validation groups or from field service.
• DDT Validation:   Responsible for DDT review, checking XMIT’s (DID’s), to assure the information is correct and will display correctly in the diagnostic tool. 
• ECU/YB releases:   Responsible for importing ECU Variant Versions/ ISO codes from NOVUS (formerly GODDARD) and associating the YB’s to the appropriate DB Targets in SONUS 1 & 2 databases. 
• Routine creation & association:  Responsible for creating, updating, and simulation of routines, to fit a specific application.  Then wiring of those routines to the appropriate YB’s for use in CDA, mCDA, wiTECH 1.0 & 2.0. 
• Logicals: Create or associate existing “Logicals” for use with routines
• ETI presentation:   Present my ECU’s and changes for new Model Year, and updates to existing ECU’s, routines etc. to the “Equipment and Tool Institute”  (once per year)
• Vehicle / ECU diagnostics:  Perform diagnostics using the wiTECH or VECTOR CANalyzer diagnostic tools as required to verify issues at the vehicle level
